At FoodCalc we take great pride in our technology stack, and we make extensive use of the leading platforms coming from major technology companies and innovative open source projects alike.

The FoodCalc stack is an elegant combination of Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Nginx, and HP/Vertica.

Our platform is primarily cloud-based leveraging Amazon EC2, with exceptions made for enterprise partners requiring hybrid and private cloud solution stacks from partners like HP, VMware and Microsoft Azure.
